Introduction
Is there life on Mars? People have wondered this for a long time, even before David Bowie asked the question in the 1970s in his song. Philip K. Dick and other sci fi authors have written stories about aliens on Mars, humans colonising Mars, or aliens from Mars attacking the Earth.
Officially NASA has sent probes, rovers, and the like, to explore Mars from afar (but who knows what is really going on there?). In the past few years sci fi has again explored the possibility of sending astronauts to Mars, such as in Andy Weir's hugely successful book and later a movie, The Martian.
At the end of World War Two it has been speculated that a large group of Nazi SS officers and their families disappeared inside a mountain in Poland, then under German occupation, including the famous Dr. Hans Kammler. Dr. Kammler developed the concentration camps with their deadly gas chambers, but it is also believed that he may have been involved in developing time travel via a device known as the Bell (die Glocke in German).
So what happened to Dr. Kammler and those Nazis who disappeared? This story holds one possible explanation, but it is only fiction.
Martian Time Shock is the third book in the Norton Blake Time Shock series. Book 1 was Global Time Shock and book 2 was European Time Shock. In the first book the reader was introduced to the time machine made for Adolf Hitler, building on the work of SS-General Doktor Hans Kammler. At the end of that book, the time machine was put to good use by Norton Blake, instead of being used by Hitler and the Nazis. We also saw that Adolf Hitler had a son called Frederick.
The second book was a prequel, in which we read about modern-day Nazis and a corrupt MP, as well as some people disappearing in a blue glow. This book will answer what happened to those people.
If you have read the first two books in the series, then this follows on from Global Time Shock, which will give the reader a new great adventure which involves not just time travel, but space travel as well, with a lengthy visit to Mars.
If you have not read them yet, then you would do well to before proceeding with this book, although this novel can also be read as a standalone novel.
I hope I have written here some good science fiction, and a great thriller, that will make the reader think, as any good story should.
If you learn anything from this story then good for you. Enjoy..
